Ronny G. Delva

Vice-President of the Board
Rony G. Delva, MSW holds a Bachelor Degree in Political Science and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut in West Hartford, CT. Additionally, he completed a Post Masters Certificate: Clinical Issues in Adoption. Mr. Delva currently works as the Director for the Upward Bound Program at Fairfield University. Upward Bound provides educational and supportive services for first generation college- bound high school students. In this position Mr. Delva is directly responsible for long term operations and daily program management. He supervises and oversees all aspects of the program, including budget formulation and implementation, staff supervision, and monitoring the program’s goals and objectives.

Mr. Delva is a work shop presenter in the fields of diversity, personal goal setting, conflict resolution, and intergenerational/cross cultural issues between parents and their children. Mr. Delva has conducted workshops for several community based agencies such as the Stamford Board of Education and the Department of Children and Families. Mr. Delva also serves on the Martin Luther King Celebration Week Committee at Fairfield University. He’s a member of the City of Bridgeport Commission on Education. He has also served as a past President and board member of the Haitian Community Center in Stamford, Connecticut.
